N3PD 2008 DATE ANNOUNCED

National Public Procurement Practitioners Day (N3PD) returns on 5 June 2008, and we are already looking forward to one of the highlights of the procurement calendar.

As in previous years, the venue will be the Institution of Civil Engineers at One Great George Street in London.

The response to N3PD 2007 was fantastic, and we believe that N3PD 2008 will build upon this success. The event is an unmissable opportunity to hear from some of the leading figures influencing public sector procurement, to network with friends and colleagues and, of course, to witness the unveiling of the Government Opportunities (GO) magazine Excellence in Public Procurement Awards. The GO Awards have become the procurement Awards that everyone wants to win, and for 2008 we have some exciting new categories which broaden the reach of the Awards to all areas of procurement.

Previous speakers at N3PD include Sir Michael Lyons; Dr Vincent Cable, Shadow Chancellor and Deputy Leader of the Liberal Democrats; Dr Neil Bentley, Director of Public Services Policy at the Confederation of British Industry; Charlie McCreevy, European Commissioner for Internal Market and Services; and John Oughton, former Chief Executive of the Office of Government Commerce. The line-up for 2008 promises to maintain N3PD’s tradition of influential and interesting speakers.
